I am a full stack developer based in New Zealand.

From the start of April to the end of June  2023 I completed an internship at CloudCannon, working with SSG's, to read more go to the internship project page.

I completed Dev Academy in 2022. Aside from the tech side, this bootcamp has allowed me to enhance my core skills, have intensive experience pair programming and working in groups of various sizes (nearly every day involves either pair or group work) as well as following projects from conception to completion.

Prior to this career change, I have a background in biological science having completed a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Zoology studying honeybees.

The main tech that I have worked with so far are: React, Redux, JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, Express, Jest, Testing Library, API's, Hugo, Eleventy (liquid). I'm keen to learn more and am actively working on it.

I am an adaptable, logical, solution-orientated person with a passion for helping people. At work I'm a natural collaborator who values teamwork and fostering a positive work environment. I love coming up with new ideas and brainstorming. Working with others and exploring different ways of doing things and different potential ideas really excites me.

I really like getting involved in work activities and fully engaging. From strawberry growing competitions to workplace olympics, you bet I will be there!

At work and outside of work I also like to do some charity projects such as fundraising activities. In the past this has included Steptember (not just doing the steps, also fund raising), the Ration Challenge, Loud Shirt Day, Step Up Challenge event volunteer.

Outside of work I have also been a member of a few clubs including the Otago Canine Training Club and Taieri Canine Training Club (helping with all club activities incluing the committee), also the Dunedin Beekeeping Club. For personal and professional growth I have also done Toastmasters.
